The new Amazon.com design

I stopped over to amazon.com today to check out some new books that i wanted to buy and behold i see for the first time the new Amazon layout and color scheme. And I have to say that i do not favor it. It just makes me want to click away. The lack of brillant color like the old site just doesn’t make me excited about shopping, and buying stuff.

I think that it would be great if Amazon gave us the option to choose which layout we wanted, classic view or new view. I searched google to see if its possible to change back but i haven’t found anything yet. I will keep looking, and if there is a way to change back it would be nice if Amazon made that option more apparent, perhaps in the form of an icon in the top corner of the page.

It’s like they get you hooked on something then they take it way. Now i have heard that some users still see the classic view, and those who cleared out their cache or browser history like me see the new design. So I would like to know how do i change it back, or will i be punished and have to live with this page till they decided to design again. And in that case i don’t know if i will be in the spirit of impulse buying from them anymore and spending my pasttime surfing their site for fun. Which may actually be a good thing for me, so thanks Amazon!!!

R.I.P Whitney Houston

I just found out that Whitney Houston died, and it is just heartbreaking. There has been so many legendary stars perishing lately, it is just so unbelievable. I send my deepest regard to her family.

Even though i have never met her she has had a great impact on me wanting to be a pop artist. Her voice and music inspired me and I am so sad to see her go. However she will never be forgotten because her spirit lives on through the people she has inspired, myself included.  To learn more about this tragedy click here to see the article i read on the music box website.

The relaunch of elishema.com

I have redesigned my website many times, but the last design failed me miserable. Firstly, it fails my 5 second rule, being it should load fairly quickly and it didn’t, now it has caused me to have another one cooked up, and I think I’ll let this one stick a little longer than usual.
